Winter Glue Shipments

We visited a company that makes vinyl-covered doors and components in the Midwest recently, in an area that has cold winters. The owner told me that they buy their glue for the coldest months ahead of time. He said that a lot of freight companies won’t ship it heated, or will put a heat blanket over the container and say that the truck is heated.
He said that in November the company will buy its glue requirements for the following few months. This plan does require some space for storage, but he said it beats fighting the temperature.
