Attendees of AWFS® VEGAS can stop by booth 1853 for a few minutes during the woodworking fair and explore technical support available around-the-clock – and around the world – through Franklin Adhesives & Polymers, a division of Franklin International.
Franklin Adhesives & Polymers plans to set up an information center at the show on its 24/7 technical support for wood adhesives used by wood products manufacturers. The center features hands-on demonstration of the division’s exclusive online pressure point calculators, used to determine adhesive amount and cost. In addition, technical experts will be on hand to provide guidance on calculations and adhesive application in general.
Six pressure point calculators are available at www.franklinadhesivesandpolymers.com:
the Hydraulic Press Pressure Calculator for common laminating and veneering presses; the Pressure Chart Maker for a specific hydraulic laminating press; the Glue Cost Calculator to estimate adhesive cost based on unit cost, spread and glue line; the Spread Unit Calculator to convert from one spread unit to eight others; the Edge Gluing Pressure Calculator for Doucet and Taylor Clamp Carriers; and the RF Batch Press Pressure Calculator.
Franklin Adhesives & Polymers also will feature a number of its products at the show, including its full line of 14 laminating adhesives as well as Multibond SK-8 for skateboard manufacturers and the Advantage family of products for wood windows. A new troubleshooting guide for lamination adhesives will be available at the booth.
